A description of Moon Phases:
The moon is our illumination in the darkness and has been worshiped by witches and magic folk since ancient times. In many cultures, its phases came to represent the Goddess in her stages of existence; each phase was associated with various energies and symbolism. It is said that magical work performed under a full moon is much more effective. A full black moon is said to be a reference to witchcraft.
A description of The Two Headed Basilisk:
A two-headed serpent undulates and twists upon itself as a symbol of cosmic energy and the ongoing cycle of death and resurrection. Its two heads meet under a single point, a reminder of the inherent duality and necessary balance that exists in all things, for light cannot exist without darkness, nor life without death. The designs extending below the basilisk symbolize pendulums and the ancient art of divining. Furthering the theme of natural balance, the pendulum is a tool for consciously communing with our deeper selves by reading intuitive energy patterns. At the heart of the design is the crescent moon, a symbol of the goddess and continual reincarnation.
Moon Phases and Two Headed Basilisk original artwork, drawn and printed by Adrienne Rozzi. Hand dyed dusty purple and screenprinted with black ink.
